Job Purpose:
To provide courteous pick-up and delivery service to donors and customers by exercising safe and careful driving adherence to CVOR requirements and utilizing safe material handling procedures.

Experience Requirement:
Ability to operate heavy mid-size vehicles safely and competently
2 years experience in the safe operation of 3 and 5 ton trucks
License class will be dependent on vehicles in assigned location and provincial regulations for 3 and 5 ton vehicles equipped with air brakes
Possess a clean abstract and valid drivers license with appropriate certification
Education Requirement:
Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent
Working Conditions:
This is a permanent part time position
Constant attention to perform job safely is required
Frequent exposure to heat cold fumes
Predetermined deadlines must be met with on-going flexibility in scheduled work hours
Work is varied with long periods of concentrated attention to prevent damage to vehicles and /or donations Health & Safety
Moderate amount of interpersonal conflict with difficult donors/guests
Substantial physical exertion is required for lifting and movement of heavy boxes and furniture up to 75 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
Constant high level of lifting standing walking bending and twisting
Health & Safety
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment through compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Must supply clean Drivers Abstract on an annual basis
Must adhere to CVOR and organizational policies on vehicle safety and operation
Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army in its sole discretion
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $19.95 to $19.95 with a maximum of $19.95.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
