Job Summary:
The Strategic Communications Intern supports the Marketing team in delivering impactful customer-centric communications. This role helps reinforce the overall health of the corporate brands and contributes to maintaining a positive brand reputation.

This is a Temporary hybrid position based in Portland Oregon.

The pay range for this position is $18.03 - $20.18 hourly depending on pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Requirements:

  1. Actively pursuing an associate or bachelors degree in communications marketing or a related fieldor graduated within the past 12 months.
  2. 0-3 years of experience in a marketing or communications setting.
  3. Ability to collaborate and accomplish tasks in a cross-functional organization.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Sprinklr Social preferred.
  5. Strong understanding of brand and product or service placement.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent company values and brand standards both internally and externally.
  7. Demonstrate project management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  9. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.

Primary Functions:

  1. Assist the Communications team in developing communication programs and strategies to support stakeholder engagement. This includes gathering information to develop sound actionable strategies and supporting socialization and team alignment efforts.
  2. Support the Brand team in brand activation execution.
  3. Contribute to cross-functional projects by collaborating with the Creative team and subject matter experts to deliver communication strategies that follow best practices.
  4. Assist in developing and delivering proof-of-performance reports that outline project successes impacts and key learnings. Prioritize revision utilizing feedback.
  5. Write edit and coordinate content for various projects and programs; conduct quality assurance proofing on final assets.
  6. Partner with the Creative team on campaign asset development including content strategy and design alignment; occasionally write campaign assets.
  7. Provide company-wide communications support by linking initiatives and connecting proactive efforts to create a seamless customer journey and strengthen brand reputation.
  8. Ensure adherence to the assigned budget.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
