Aromatherapist Volunteer Hospice Care
Location:Las Vegas Area Type:Volunteer Schedule:Flexible
Offer Peace Comfort and Calm Through the Healing Power of Scent
Are you a certified aromatherapist or essential oils practitioner with a heart for providing holistic care Join our hospice team as anAromatherapist Volunteerand help bring comfort relaxation and emotional ease to patients and families through the gentle use of therapeutic essential oils.
What Youll Do:
- Providearomatherapy support at the bedsidefor hospice patients in homes inpatient centers or care facilities
- Use safe hospice-appropriate essential oil applications such asdiffusion aromasticks or light topical blends
- Help reduceanxiety nausea discomfort and emotional distressusing individualized essential oil blends
- Support relaxation calm and peaceful presence for both patients and family members
- Collaborate with hospice staff to select appropriate oils and techniques ensuring safety and patient preferences
- Maintain aromatherapy supplies safety practices and proper documentation as required
What Youll Need:
Certification or training in aromatherapy or essential oil therapy
Compassionate calming and professional presence
Knowledge of essential oil safety and contraindications especially for medically fragile individuals
Comfort working with individuals at the end of life and their families
