IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Ideal candidate has 5-10 years in a large manufacturing environment. Experienced in LOTO OSHA PSM permitting incident investigations and root cause analysis. Hiring manager is looking for someone who doesnt make frequent job moves.
DETAILS:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EHS Manager to lead the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team at our clients large and complex manufacturing site.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall EHS program at the site including creating and implementing strategic safety and EHS initiatives to foster and enhance our EHS culture.
- This role requires a strong technical EHS skillset to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. It includes participation on the Plant Leadership Team and managing a team of direct reports as well as the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals providing guidance support and development opportunities.
- Strategic Initiatives:Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives to continuously improve the sites EHS culture and performance.
- Technical Expertise:Strong background in critical safety programs such as LOTO Machine Guarding Powered Industrial Trucks Electrical Safety and Fall Protection.
- Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations laws standards and company policies.
- Training and Development:Design and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the EHS team.
- Incident Management:Facilitate incident investigations with strong root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement in EHS processes and practices through data analysis audits and feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management in a large manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of LOTO Machine Guarding incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Experience with OSHA PSM and ISO 1400 preferred.
