GEs Power Conversion & Storage business part of GE Vernova provides electrification systems that are critical to customers power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the worlds major energy maritime and industrial organizations helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization including through our specialist motors drives and control technologies.At Power Conversion & Storage were working on some of the UKs most complex and critical projectsand were looking for a dedicated Deputy Security Controller to support and strengthen our security compliance and infrastructure.
Job Description
Help shape the future of national security compliance.
Working closely with the UK Security Controller youll play a pivotal role in ensuring our people data and operations meet and exceed Government Agency requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional to apply their expertise in a dynamic future-focused organisation.
As Deputy Security Controller youll:
Support and deputise for the UK Security Controller on all UK Government-related security matters.
Lead and advise internal teams on personnel physical and information security compliance.
Oversee the secure handling storage and auditing of classified documentation ensuring alignment with the UK Security Policy Framework.
Manage and process BPSS and NSV security clearances.
Build strong working relationships with Government agencies customers and internal stakeholders.
Conduct internal audits investigations and supplier compliance checks.
Develop and maintain security education and awareness programs.
Keep policies and processes aligned with changing legislation and government guidance.
What Youll Bring
Experience in a professional security role within a high-compliance government or defence environment.
Strong knowledge of UK Government Agency security standards (SPF JSP IPSA etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive self-motivated attitude with sound problem-solving capabilities.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive or confidential matters with discretion.
Sole British Nationalityand eligibility for SC security clearance.
