Learning Grove is a leading nonprofit early childhood education provider in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Our School Age Services program is a network of 30 programs that provide extended kindergarten before- and after-school care for elementary-age children. Our structured school-age programs allow children to remain with their friends and minimize transitions to new locations before and after school.

Overview of the School Age Services instructional assistant role:
Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environments for children with appropriate arrangement of materials space and supplies.
Supervise children at all times within sight and sound and adhere to daily schedule and transition times. Encourage childrens learning through discovery curiosity creativity and a healthy self-concept.
This might be a given but our teachers and instructional assistants should have a positive nature and be flexible and know that we work best as a team.

Youre also able to keep confidential information about the program families children staff and the agency.

Qualifications
Minimum education experience and other skill requirements for School Age Services instructional assistants:

You must be at least 16 years old.
Some post-secondary education and experience with working with children preferred
Physical demands:
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job the school age services instructional assistant is regularly required to sit stand walk bend and lift objects of at least 25 pounds; walk up and down steps; and stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time.
