You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJoin our team in a dynamic role where you will have the opportunity to learn about supply and service management procurement and operations in the aviation industry! The Supply Chain/Procurement Intern will contribute to sourcing activities supplier evaluations and contract management within the procurement process all while ensuring compliance with corporate governance and ethical standards. This role will assist in fulfilling the day-to-day operational needs for the recently built Terminal A at Newark-Liberty International Airport.
The Supply Chain/Procurement Intern will collaborate with teams in Germany to facilitate solutions in procure-to-pay processes while forging strong partnerships with internal teams ranging from Operations to Facilities Maintenance. This role will work closely with the Finance group to execute seamless invoice processing ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing activities evaluating suppliers and supporting contract management within the procurement process.
Analyze market trends monitor supplier performance and provide insights into potential opportunities and risks.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand and address their procurement needs effectively.
Ensure strict adherence to company policies industry regulations and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.
Stay informed about industry best practices and actively propose ideas for process enhancement within the procurement lifecycle.
Utilize procurement software and tools independently with guidance as needed.
Contribute to the preparation and presentation of reports on procurement performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field (in-progress acceptable).
Final semester or recent graduates only; potential for a Full-Time position at the conclusion of the internship.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of procurement concepts principles and contract administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to drive deliverables to completion independently given guidance and parameters.
Eagerness to pursue continuous professional development.
