Job Description
We are searching for an experience caregiver for a full-time schedule Monday through Friday 9:30am-4pm. Our client is a kind and thoughtful individual who enjoys social connection and engaging activities. He lives with Dementia and advanced Parkinsons which affects his mobility and speech and glaucoma which limits his vision.
He enjoys playing card games in the lounge area and attending activities offered at the facility. The ideal caregiver will not only assist him with physical needs but also provide companionship meaningful engagement occasional outings and emotional support. Having attention to detail and documentation is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mobility and transfers (as needed for safety and stability)
- Provide personal care: ensure John is clean comfortable and well-groomed
- Ensure safety monitoring and fall prevention at all times
- Offer companionship and engage in conversation and shared activities
- Clearly and slowly communicate allowing time for responses
- Escort and encourage participation in games and social activities
- Maintain accurate and detail-oriented documentation of care and observations
What Were Looking For:
- Compassionate dependable and patient caregiver
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Comfortable working with clients with mobility and cognitive challenges
- Detail-oriented and diligent in daily documentation
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass background check DMV check and drug screening
- Drivers license required
- Weekend availability is a plus
