DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST

RESEARCH ANALYTICS AND PLANNING BUREAU

HELENA MT

JOB OVERVIEW

  • The Data Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy completeness and consistency of data across an organization. They work closely with different departments to ensure that data is clean organized and reliable so that it can be used for strategic decision-making purposes. This position utilizes Structured Query Language (SQL) very frequently to query databases.
  • The Data Quality Specialist responds to service desk tickets related to the offender management information system by identifying the issue working with the system user or application development specialist to resolve issues or working with back-end data to resolve the issue.
    • When recurring or urgent issues are identified the Data Quality Specialist creates a Data Quality Alert bulletin to make users aware of the issue the effect on data quality and how to resolve the issue.
  • Responsible for conducting data quality checks and ensuring that data conforms to predefined data standards. They are responsible for reviewing data accuracy completeness consistency and ensuring that data is compliant with regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in mathematics statistics economics epidemiology or other related research-intensive field.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in economic statistical epidemiological program evaluation or related analysis with a focus on utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Proficient in PL/SQL software or similar
  • Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Excel Words Teams)
  • Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
