Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide leadership in developing implementing and coordinating the districts K-12
program as it relates to curriculum instruction and assessment. The job of the K-12
Supervisor was established for the purpose of directing the delivery of programs and
services at the elementary middle and high school level through site administration:
providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by
planning evaluating developing implementing and maintaining services in compliance
with established guidelines by board policy procedures and TCA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. TN Professional Administrator
2. A masters degree in education
3. Three (5) years of successful experience in a classroom setting
4. Such other qualifications as the Board deems desirable

Learning Loss Instructional Coaches
Building Test Coordinators
Teacher Leaders
Classroom Teachers
Support principals supervisors and other school personnel
JOB GOAL:
To provide leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs
and services for the students and staff of the Cannon County School District

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
To provide leadership in the development implantation and coordination of the districts K-12
program as it relates to curriculum instruction and assessment. The job of the K-12 Supervisor
was established for the purpose of directing the delivery of programs and services at the
elementary middle and high school level through site administration: providing information
and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning evaluating
developing implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines
by board policy procedures and TCA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborates with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators auditors
public agencies community members etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or
maintaining services and programs.
Compiles data from a variety of sources for the purpose of developing and/or evaluating
programs and/or complying with financial legal and/or administrative requirements.
Coordinates operations among schools (personnel budgets staff development testing
planning curriculum etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that district objectives are
achieved and resources are effectively utilized.
Directs department operations the Maintenance of services and the implementation of
new programs and/or processes for the purpose of providing services within established
time frames and in compliance with related requirements.
Ensures that all schools achieve ambitious student performance gains in all subject areas
(looking at data performing in the classroom observations planning and participating in
leadership team meetings) for the purpose of meeting district goals for every student.
Evaluates programs and/or projects (curriculum testing staff development etc.) for the
purpose of carrying out and achieving objectives within area of responsibility.
Facilitates meetings workshops seminars etc. (personnel actions financial procedures
regulatory requirements actions involving outside agencies inter-district needs etc.) for
the purpose of identifying issues developing recommendations supporting other staff
and serving as a District representative.
Manages a wide variety of programs and processes (staff development personnel
assignments testing and assessment curriculum etc.) for the purpose of ensuring district
compliance with established guidelines.
Prepares and monitors budget allocations expenditures and related financial activities
for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

Participates in meetings workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or
gathering information required to perform functions.
Researches a variety of topics (current practices instructional materials methods
curriculum guidelines etc.) for the purpose of developing new programs and/or master
plans.
Supports and coaches elementary and high school teachers and principals to assess
instructional competencies and develop written programs of improvement as needed.
Secure develop and distribute instructional materials for classroom use including but
not limited to textbooks.
Recommend teaching strategies techniques and materials for classroom use.
Coordinate revisions of report cards based on TN State standards.
Serve as the district Title IX Coordinator.
Serve as the district TNCompass Configurator: includes running reports managing
rosters observations LOEs Data Entry
Serve as the Calendar Committee Facilitator: coordinates meetings with CCEA
representatives creates calendar presents to stakeholders and provides edits when
needed.

Manual Dexterity: The ability to move the hands easily and manipulate small objects
with the fingers rapidly and accurately.
Color Discrimination: The ability to perceive or to recognize similarities or differences in
colors or shades or other values of the same color.

SALARY: Commensurate to Degree & Years of Experience; General Purpose School Budget
Line Item: 72210-105.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds with frequent
lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical
demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling stooping and/or kneeling
reaching and/or handling talking hearing and seeing.
WORK CONDITIONS: Normal working environment. Personal vehicle capable of
transporting materials required.
