Looking to advance your career in public practice without the commute to Sydney or the corporate grind Our client is boutique firm in the Newcastle and Hunter region is now seeking a Senior or Supervisor Accountant to take on a leadership role within the growing business services team.
Diverse client interaction and the opportunity to mentor junior staffall while working with a firm that values work-life balance and local relationships.
Your Role Will Include:
- Managing a portfolio of SME Partnerships Companies SMSFS and individual clients
- Reviewing compliance work (tax returns BAS financial statements)
- Delivering tax planning structuring and business advisory services
- Mentoring junior and intermediate accountants
- Building trusted relationships and being the key point of contact for clients
- Liaising with the ATO and external stakeholders
Were Looking For:
- 4 years experience in Australian public practice
- CA/CPA qualified or near completion
- Strong technical background in tax and compliance
- Proven experience mentoring junior staff
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
- Proficient in Xero Microsoft and cloud-based compliance systems
