Job Description
Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) - Assistant Nurse Manager
Join our award-winning Womens Health team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator where youll lead and inspire our overnight Labor & Delivery unit while delivering exceptional patient care. This hybrid leadership-clinical role offers the perfect blend of hands-on nursing and management experience in a supportive collaborative environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical operations during night shift serving as the primary decision-maker for unit management and staffing
- Coordinate patient care delivery including high-risk deliveries and emergency C-sections
- Direct and mentor nursing staff while maintaining optimal patient flow and care quality
- Perform hands-on clinical duties including delivering babies and OR scrub assistance
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction measures
- Manage staff scheduling resource allocation and inventory control
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Support staff development through training performance evaluation and mentorship
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license with Associates Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Previous leadership experience in Womens Services L&D NICU or Mother-Baby Units
- BCLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS certification (required within 1 year of hire)
- Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and emergency response
