Compensation:In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
About the Program:
- Transitional Housing Program: This program provides housing and supportive services to non-minor dependent pregnant and/or parenting young women ages 18-21 who are still in the foster care system as well as pregnant and/or parenting young women ages 18-24 who were or have transitioned out of the foster care or juvenile justice system.
Role Summary:This position is working under the supervision of the Administrative Associate for the Supportive Housing Programs (SHP) the Program Assistant is responsible for being the first point of contact at the Bogen Transitional Housing building after-hours presence for overnight emergencies and transitional living addition the Program Assistant will maintain a healthy therapeutic and safe environment for all residents while managing the reception area tenant files and provide program support.
- Schedule:Friday-Sunday 10:00pm to 6:30amMonday/Tuesday 3:00pm-10:00pm- 38 hours weekly
- Location:155 N. Occidental Blvd Los Angeles CA 90026
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct incoming phone calls.
- Greet and direct guests and residents in the reception area.
- Check-in visitors and enforce the visitation guidelines.
- Distribute monthly allowance and/or food stipends gift cards to program participants.
- Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval.
- Provide program and administrative support to the transitional housing team in the preparation of various program documents
- Assist during emergency situations by directing emergency response personnel residents and staff. Assist with evacuating the building if necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
