Job Description
DISTRIBUTION CENTER: FORKLIFT OPERATOR 2nd SHIFT - SEASONAL
School Health Corporation is the leading provider of medical supplies to schools universities and sports teams nationwide. Our family-owned business has a need to bring on seasonal employees during the summer months for warehouse workers.
We are hiring seasonal Forklift Operators in the Receiving Department. This position is responsible for putting away received products and replenishing primary pick locations. We anticipate this position will last through mid-September. The current shift hours are 9am - 5pm. The hours will change to summer hours of 1:00 - 9:00pm from June through September.
Pay: $20/hour
Responsibilities include:
- Put away product to overstock locations and replenish primary pick locations using a deep reach truck or order picker/selector and hand-held RF scanner
- May also be required to:
- Offload LTL shipments using dock stocker or electric pallet jack
- Receive and sign for shipments - inspect cartons for damage verify quantities
- Process purchase orders - verify product information and quantity; use hand-held RF scanner to receive into warehouse management system
- Must be willing to help in other departments/functions as needed
Basic Requirements:
- Reach truck or order picker/selector forklift experience required
- Ability to work Monday-Friday (or Saturday) some weekends will be required based on business needs; flexible schedules are available
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Work in a warehouse environment throughout seasonal temperature variations
- Use of proper safety procedures to ensure workplace safety
