Your Role
An exciting opportunity currently exists within the Catholic Education to join the Information Technology Team as a full-time (38HPW) Technology Assistant. This position will be providing first level support via telephone or in-person to staff in Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton. This position is for an immediate commencement or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Typical duties performed include but are not limited to:
- Practice confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role
- Assist with telephone enquiries in accordance with routine methods and procedures
- Use software application packages to provide support and maintain applications in the workplace
- Carry out a wide range of clerical duties at an advanced level including typing word processing and maintaining manual and computerised records
- Within routines methods and procedures maintain the hardware and software components of a computer network and provide user support
- Within the routine methods and procedures:
- administer user accounts
- update applications
- maintain relevant documentation and procedures
- Maintain technical proficiency and skills

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner including some travel to schools within the Diocese.
