GHD has a phenomenal opportunity for a National Water Treatment Process Leader!Our teams specialize in all aspects of water and wastewater treatment collection and distribution including reuse and are supported by our full service engineering design centers. Your will be providing technical leadership to our water teams engaging with our clients to position GHD as the authority with water treatment processes and technology while providing technical leadership for projects in the across the country specifically related to advanced water treatment and emerging contaminants such as PFAS.This position can be based in most GHD office locations. GHD supports a hybrid work model.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Provide technical support in project delivery e.g. engineering process design and technical memoranda.
  • Be able to lead or assist in running small and intermediate study phase projects through preparation of scope schedules and budgets and guide junior staff on project tasks whether as Owners Advisor or Designer for clients or as part of a collaborative delivery project. Continue support and review through detailed
  • Ability to develop testing protocols and procedures for laboratory and or pilot testing for technology evaluation
  • Providing input and guidance based on regulatory developments with water quality and compliance regionally and nationally.
  • Work within project teams providing advice to GHD teams nationally and internationally through our Technical Services team
  • Opportunity to work on local national and global projects which may at times entail supporting multiple GHD office locations.
  • Supporting strategic pursuits including growth in both the Private and Public Sectors (municipal and publicly traded regulated and unregulated water companies) as well as the Federal Sector as well as support growing and maintaining client relationships
  • Externally participate in GHDs client engagement workshops focusing on support and preparation of peer-reviewed publications (journal articles presentations etc.) and attendance at relevant conferences across our regions and nationally.
  • Actively participate and seek representation at national associations and events such as AWWA ACE and WQTC

What you will bring to the team:

  • Experience in the assessment of water quality regulations and appropriate treatment for compliance and water quality goals including technology evaluations from a life cycle cost basis
  • Experience in technical specification preparation and review of technical submissions
  • Knowledge of emerging contaminant legislation throughout North America
  • Strong dedication to client service excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and presentation skills

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or discipline relevant water treatment Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years-experience including 3-5 with PFAS or other emerging contaminants
