A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Manager Engineering Teaching and Learning Team the Instructional Designer works on a dynamic team with instructors and educational specialists to design high-impact learning activities for engineering students. The Instructional Designer will lead a variety of projects to create learning experiences that leverage a wide-range of delivery modes and are grounded in evidence-based pedagogical approaches. The incumbent is responsible for setting standards for the structure and overall quality of course materials building consensus with stakeholders and championing student-centered approaches. The Instructional Designer will also fulfill the project management role on course design teams.
This position acts as the project manager for course development including implementing and ensuring timelines outlining course development plans and guiding the development process. This position provides subject matter expertise and leadership regarding courses to be re-offered or developed including objectives rubrics design features content and format. This position collaborates with subject matter experts editors web developers etc. on instructional design projects. This position also provides guidance training and/or expertise to team members industry partners students writers faculty and/or management on tools and processes.
