Job Description

Assistant in Nursing Casual Nights and Weekend Shifts

  • ICU Casual

TheOpportunity

We are looking for an Assistant in Nursing to become a part of our dynamic ICU team and provide support for night duty and weekend shifts.

Key functions include:

  • Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
  • Work as part of the health care team and practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters for AINs
  • Assess patients needs using therapeutic skills
  • Answering patient/visitor/customer inquiries

About You

You will be a minimum second Year Student Nurse or hold a Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services /AIN training.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise the required workload
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and model Healthscopes values
  • Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
