The Production Manager will manage production activity and operations strategy that aligns with the companys priorities and interests. This position requires leadership in a dynamic environment with a preference for candidates experienced in high mix low volume manufacturing. Ideal candidates must be able to work regularly at our Anderson IN facility.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and coordinate activities of the production department to ensure effective and efficient manufacturing operations.
Oversee production planning staffing and daily operations in a cost-effective manner.
Plan production operations establish priorities and sequence manufacturing to meet delivery and quality specifications.
Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery and efficient department operations.
Preview and analyze production and operating reports; resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues to reduce costs and prevent delays.
Manage production flow troubleshoot issues and oversee staffing and technical training across all shifts.
Develop and implement operational schedules and ensure compliance with quality standards and productivity goals.
Train and develop supervisors in employee relations goal setting manufacturing processes scheduling and problem-solving.
Ensure company programs and policies are followed and deliver appropriate training to employees to ensure compliance.
Partner with Human Resources and the Plant Director to resolve employee concerns and work-related issues.
Revise and enforce standard operational procedures and observe employees to ensure best practices.
Develop and monitor the plants operational budget.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing events and process optimization.
Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field or 8 years of experience in operations or production management.
Leadership experience in manufacturing environments with a strong ability to improve performance and accountability.
Experience leading Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and motivational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively toward common goals in a fast-paced changing environment.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high mix low volume manufacturing strongly preferred.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand sit and walk throughout the production floor for extended periods.
Ability to sit in front of a computer monitor for extended periods.
Comfortable working in or around loud machinery.
Must be able to handle repetitive motion.
