What youll do:
Eatons Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician III to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Hodges SC location. Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.94
Position Overview:
The Assembler III will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety quality delivery inventory and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling Low Voltage Assemblies. They will execute all required tasks including but not limited to Assembler I roles (PW2 Flex and Lean) Assembler II roles (PW2 Flex and Lean) assembly wire customer service orders PXM assembly and testing power modules and any sub-assemblies associated with these. Identify and collect needed material for assemblies when required and assemble/prepare for shipment. They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the assembly operation as needed.
In this function you will:
You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products safely in a timely manner following Standard Work.
Comply with the environment health and safety guidelines.
Sustainment of 5S in area.
Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures complying with WSRAs and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead supervisor or manager.
Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.
Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.
Will be required to have or complete QEW certification
Responsible for identifying nonconforming parts and troubleshooting errors. May be required to perform hi-pot test on assemblies.
Use various fixtures gauges and assembly tools to assemble adjust or repair assemblies. Use of layout drill saw punch rivet and paint material as required.
Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.
Form shipping groups of final products shipped to external customers and prepare assemblies for shipment or storage as appropriate.
Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed including Tables operations.

At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
At least 1 year of experience using hand and air tools
Proven problem-solving skills.

Ensure assembly components meet quality standards.
Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
Able to work independently with minimum direction.
