We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Mid Manual QA Tester to join our OMFE (OddsMatrix Front end) team in Bucharest!
About the job:
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our web and mobile applications. This role requires a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to adapt to fast-paced development cycles.
What youll get to do:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand feature requirements and testing priorities.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning to align QA efforts with development goals.
- Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and test plans for new features and projects.
- Design write and maintain comprehensive test cases in TestRail for newly implemented features.
- Execute manual tests (exploratory regression smoke positive grey box) across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Perform API-level testing using tools and provide clear documentation of outcomes.
- Identify log and track defects using JIRA providing detailed steps to reproduce environment details and observed results.
- Work closely with developers to investigate reproduce and resolve bugs quickly and efficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide insights for quality improvements.
- Provide final sign-off on production releases ensuring incident resolutions and feature integrity.
- Maintain open clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the product lifecycle.
What You need to know:
- 24 years of hands-on experience in software manual testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) and test case management systems (TestRail).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies SDLC and STLC.
- Experience testing across multiple platforms (web mobile tablet).
- Strong attention to detail in documenting test steps outcomes and bug reports.
- Demonstrated skills in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying quality gaps and proposing solutions.
- Team-oriented mindset with a constructive approach to feedback and collaboration.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g. Postman Swagger).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or browser dev tools.
- Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
