Job Description

Senior Payroll Executive/Associate
Experience: 4-5 years
Location: Bangalore (Koramangala)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process including data collection calculation and disbursement.
Review and validate time and attendance records for accuracy.
Manage payroll software and systems to ensure smooth processing.
2. Compliance and Reporting:
Stay updated on changes in labour laws tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations including income tax provident fund ESI and professional tax
Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and compliance reports in accordance with legal requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely year-end reporting
3. Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records including employee information deductions and earnings.
Handle all confidential payroll information in a secure and confidential manner.
4. Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs related to payroll including health insurance retirement plans and other voluntary deductions.
5. Communication and Support:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
6. Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices to enhance the overall payroll function.
7. Auditing and Reconciliation:
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and policies.
Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
8. Training and Development:
Provide training and support to employees on payroll-related matters including timekeeping and employee self-service portals.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in HR Finance Accounting or a related field preferred.
Proven experience 4 - 5 years) as a Payroll and HR compliances Specialist or in a similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & payroll software and systems.
Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws taxation and statutory compliance.
Must be highly analytical logical & have a number driven aptitude.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good follow-up skills; the ability to understand; adaptability to process changes; and a strong sense of importance and ownership
