Job Description

Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion they need a COMMERCIAL SALES MANAGER.

Job Summary: The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for driving B2B sales of petroleum products focusing on industrial and commercial clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the downstream oil and gas market capable of developing and executing sales strategies managing client relationships and achieving revenue targets.

LOCATION: Lagos

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Build and maintain longterm relationships with key customers and partners in the industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Conduct regular client meetings presentations and negotiations to secure new deals.
  • Proactively identify and pursue potential clients through cold calls emails networking and industry events.
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified leads and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing.
  • Lead negotiations and prepare contracts tailored to client needs and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deal closure coordinating with legal and finance teams when necessary.
  • Prepare regular sales reports forecasts and market analyses for management.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and other team members to align on sales strategies and customer service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the product marketing and customer support teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales within the oil and gas industry with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building longterm relationships.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a sales team to achieve objectives
