POSITION SUMMARY
The Shift Supervisor position is a position that provides direction training and leadership to production workers. This position requires some physical work handling parts that are being processed. The position is a liaison between the production workers and management. The environment is a wet industrial setting working around hazardous chemicals for cleaning customers parts. Proper PPE is supplied. The position is critical to quality requirements of the overall process and customer satisfaction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures orderly and timely production by directing and coordinating employee activities; observes and monitors production to ensure operators conform to processing standards.
Encourages employee motivation by being a positive role model working with supervisors to resolve worker problems complaints or grievances
Trains new employees by demonstrating equipment operations and safety procedures for new employees.
Supports production continuity by staying current on all production operations; filling in as needed in critical areas such as Wastewater Chem Mix Shipping & Receiving.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE 5S procedures rules and regulations. Clean machines containers materials supplies and work areas daily using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
Determines sequence of operations by studying operating manuals standard work instructions and specifications. While maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.

3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with team lead process lead or supervisory experience

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses gloves apron steeltoe boots respirator
