Job Description

About the Role:
Shtudy is hiring on behalf of a trusted client in the Washington D.C. metro area seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager with architectural expertise to join a dynamic team providing Owner s Representation and Project Management services.

This hybrid role blends construction oversight with earlystage architectural input offering a unique opportunity to influence every stage of a building project s lifecycle from initial design and planning to construction and final turnover. You ll work on both public and private sector projects including civic spaces recreation centers multifamily housing workplace interiors and more.

We re looking for a versatile detailoriented and communicative professional who can lead projects across various phases coordinate with design teams and contractors and help translate architectural vision into reality.

What You ll Do:

  • Represent the client as a trusted advisor across all phases of the project: design budgeting entitlement procurement construction and closeout.

  • Support earlystage design and planning activities such as feasibility studies space programming and schematic design reviews.

  • Develop project scopes budgets timelines and procurement strategies.

  • Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and local permitting authorities.

  • Conduct zoning research assist with entitlement strategy and manage agency coordination.

  • Review drawings and submittals; ensure adherence to codes design intent and project goals.

  • Track progress using project management tools and generate detailed reports on schedule cost and project status.

  • Support integration of furniture fixtures and equipment (FF&E) into final design and delivery.

Our client is a wellestablished project management and architectural consulting firm serving the Washington D.C. region for over 30 years. They specialize in delivering full lifecycle Owner s Rep services for new construction renovations and interior buildouts. Their team is known for their collaborative approach design sensibility and resultsoriented project leadership.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • MustHave:

    • 7 years of relevant experience in construction project management and/or architectural design.

    • Demonstrated success managing commercial interiors or tenant improvement (TI) projects.

    • Strong understanding of architectural documents and construction drawings.

    • Excellent communication coordination and organizational skills.

    • Experience with real estate entitlement and permitting processes.

    • Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam MS Project or Primavera (P6) and Adobe Creative Suite.

    • Bachelor s degree in Architecture Construction Management Engineering or a related field.

    • Familiarity with building codes zoning laws construction QA/QC practices and design documentation workflows.

    Preferred:

    • Experience working with both public and private sector projects.

    • Knowledge of sustainable design frameworks (e.g. LEED WELL).

    • Familiarity with construction estimating and market pricing tools (e.g. RS Means Timberline).

    • Architectural or constructionrelated licensure or certification or pursuit thereof is a plus.

    • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or working across multiple teams.
