We re seeking an enthusiastic and skilled educator to join our team as a Teacher for Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the school year. This fulltime position offers the chance to work across multiple grade levels creating impactful customized learning experiences for students with hearing differences.
As a DHH instructor you will be responsible for adapting instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of communication styles and auditory needs. You ll conduct regular assessments to monitor growth and adjust teaching methods accordingly to support each students development. This role includes delivering specialized instruction in both oneonone and small group settings while acting as an educational consultant to general education staff sharing tools resources and best practices for supporting DHH students.
You ll take the lead in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while working closely with families colleagues and school teams to build a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Requirements
- Experience supporting DHH learners in K 12 settings.
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Deaf Education Special Education or a related field.
- Fluency or strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred.
- Licensed to teach in Georgia with an active DHH endorsement (Professional Educator License).
