Job Description
DIRECTOR OF FLEET MANAGEMENT (Permanent)
Our client an established familyowned international company headquartered in WNY is looking to hire a Director of Fleet Management to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational aspects of fleet strategy including but not limited to fleet acquisition/disposal compliance safety and efficiency
- Oversee the dispatching & scheduling operations ensuring timeliness for all maintenance fueling and other necessary services
- Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships for fleet services and effectively negotiate contracts
- Manage daily operations regarding staff coordination & equipment management to ensure safety and compliance at all times
- Monitor costs of services transportation and other key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and resolve issues
- Assess fleet requirements effectively leasing or decommissioning vehicles as necessary
- Collaborate with internal leadership members to create and implement strategic solutions to have a positive impact on the organization
- Analyze fleet policies/operations vs current business goals to appropriately manage budgets control costs and remain aligned with the needs of the company
- Ensure compliance safety accident prevention and equipment management/preventative maintenance is at the forefront of fleet operations
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is fulltime direct hire
- Some travel may be required to various business locations
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days inoffice 1day WFH with flexibility
- $110000 $175000 annually depending on experience

- Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Transportation or related
- 10 years relevant Fleet Management experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Selfmotivated driven energetic great personality and communication skills
- Relocation not available
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
