JOB SUMMARY

System Optimizations overarching goal is to elevate the performance and culture of those around us both within the team and with external groups. The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for driving excellent results strong understanding of pipeline hydraulics engineering fundamentals analytical skills and ability to lead successful projects with diverse stakeholders.
This position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Profile Summary
As a Hydraulics Engineer II you will support hydraulic modeling and analysis tasks contribute to the development and maintenance of system models and provide basic recommendations for improvements. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to enhance existing assets and potential expansion projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Performs steadystate or transient hydraulic modeling for existing assets and potential expansion projects.
- Makes recommendations for improvements related to capacity operating costs and system operation.
- Builds and maintains system models used for analysis.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify business and pipeline optimization opportunities.
- Recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of hydraulic modeling.
- Creates pipeline operating plans and provides operational guidance to Operations Control and Scheduling teams when requested.
- Supports planning of field operations projects and activities.
- Evaluates potential projects to determine the value to ONEOK including economic modeling process mapping user stories or other documentation.
- Supports project teams through evaluation implementation and adoption to ensure expected value is achieved and retained.
- Works with all levels of leadership to ensure alignment on current and future optimization strategies.
- Reports on assigned projects through project management tools or other documents as by management or the respective project.
Education
- Bachelors Degree Engineering or closely related field and the following jobrelated experience
Work Experience
- Experience and knowledge of engineering design and criteria for pipeline systems
- Experience at this level is typically attained with a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering and pipeline design/operation preferably with a hydraulic focus.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software including or similar to SPS Fathom Synergi Gas Emerson PipelineOptimizer ProMax VMG Sim etc. is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of pumps compressor stations and/or storage facilities preferred
- Experience with BI/analytical tools such as PI Spotfire etc. preferred
- Experience identifying researching understanding evaluating and prioritizing problems and coordinating appropriate action/response
- Experience with and knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and operations.

- Basic knowledge of hydraulic modeling software and tools.
- Ability to: math algebraic formulas hydraulic equations affinity laws and statistical methods
- Knowledge of: pipeline operations and commercial functions with the ability to understand and analyze business impacts
- Ability to: analyze and resolve issues and/or questions concerning engineering design and calculations
- Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations including DOT 195 and/or 192 contracts manuals specifications surveys charts and other relevant reports and correspondence
- Ability to: identify plan and organize projects to completion goals and initiatives
- Ability to: lead groups effectively preferred
- Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Ability to: use logic and reasoning to identify alternate solutions or approaches to a problem

- Ability to: communicate thoughts ideas information messages and other written information which may contain technical material in a logical organized and coherent manner
