Principal Product Manager Technical

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Product Manager Technical (PMT) will be at the forefront of defining requirements and building systems related to managing our B2C and B2B customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities
Work closely with senior business and software engineering leaders and SMEs to understand requirements conceptualize solutions facilitate development and deploy broadband customer onboarding and service activation capabilities
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and facilitate collaboration across multiple teams.
Be structured and flexible at the same time to learn as the business evolves.
Provide visibility and communicate extremely well with responsibility to provide updates to VPs author operation plans business reviews documents and communicate to the broader Kuiper and Amazon team.
Be a seasoned product leader with a demonstrated history of leading product strategy technology solutions data analytics and customer experience.
Thrive on ambiguity and have a track record of delivering largescale technology products and/or led large operational or technical teams.
Lead large global and complex technology initiatives in a large business unit working crossfunctionally with a number of business and technical teams.
The ability to think and move quickly and is inspired to build mechanisms to simplify and continuously innovate.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

7 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of experience in networking technologies distributed systems and cloud architecture

Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
Passion for space technology and a strong interest in shaping the future of global satellitebased connectivity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
