UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is a oneofakind academic unit with distinct interdisciplinary expertise and potential for partnership with community stakeholders conceived to address societal challenges and work alongside the community. The Opportunity:
The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities (FCSUA) is currently accepting applications for a Program Director I Technical Assistance and Outreach. This role requires a strategic leader with a passion for empowering communities through education innovation and support. This position will be responsible for the development implementation and reporting of outcomes as well as providing leadership. This role is also responsible for evaluating Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs (FPCTPs) at Florida state colleges career technical centers/colleges and universities as directed in the Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program Act (f.s. 1004.6495). Additionally the Program Director will be responsible for leading the technical assistance team in the implementation of the Act at thirtythree established FPCTPs as well as ten programs that are in the development approval and award process.
This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs application development and state approval process of program applications grant proposals and student scholarships at all 33 approved FPCTPs. Locations include state universities colleges technical colleges and private not for profit colleges and universities to meet legislative requirements of the FPCTP Act.
Technical assistance provided by staff and facilitators to approved 33 FPCTPs and the ten institutions of higher education in the development process.
Identify develop and implement professional development activities and other resource materials to ensure approved FPCTPs meet all legislative requirements of the Act.
Manage all FPCTP annual reporting on program implementation student reporting student follow up reporting for 5 years FPCTP Grant Annual Performance Reports and FPCTP Final Performance Reports as in the Act.
Design implement and analyze FPCTP evaluation plans to assess effectiveness of the Centers work and the approved programs at 33 approved FPCTPs and those to be approved in the coming years (up to 120).
Assume leadership responsibilities of the Center as needed in the absence of the Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Masters degree and 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
Professional experience supporting youth and young adults with disabilities with a strong preference for work involving students with intellectual disabilities in secondary or postsecondary education environments.
Experience in supervising or coordinating professionals who deliver technical assistance aimed at enhancing program and student outcomes.
Demonstrated background in higher education and leadership roles focused on advancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Familiarity working with Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) programs.
Proven experience in the design facilitation and execution of educational program development including planning reporting and continuous improvement processes.
Experience developing and presenting professional development.
