Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pricing Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain pricing and costing structure of our manufactured products. This is a handson role that requires the ability to work at both a detailed task level and a higher management support level. These duties include working with the Bill of Materials team and Brand Managers to ensure accurate costing and pricing of our finished goods. This position will also be tasked with maintaining detailed costs and providing cost analysis which support operations and sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyzes manufacturing bill of materials to include direct labor overhead and fixed cost for development of total cost to determine pricing structures.
- Monitors inventory adjustments relating to cost accounting activity.
- Develops financial reports for internal business partners.
- Develops and maintains product standard costs.
- Assists with yearend physical inventory process.
- Performs variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
- Performs crossdepartmental special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
- Develops and maintains dealer and retail pricing across marine division in multiple media types.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors Degree in accounting
- Preferred Degree: Masters Degree in accounting
- Years of experience: 2 preferably with a manufacturing company
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to think creatively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with business partners throughout the organization
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule daily activities for the most efficient use of time
- Ability to juggle multiple projects or tasks at once
- Ability to work in a fastpaced deadline driven environment

- Regularly performs computer work and sits.
- Occasionally walks and stands.
- Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
