Job Description
Summary:
The Used Car Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our used vehicle operations which includes acquiring quality preowned vehicles managing inventory setting competitive pricing marketing and working closely with the sales and service departments to ensure maximum profitability and efficient reconditioning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the dealerships used car inventory ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Build and implement competitive pricing strategies for used vehicles based on market analysis.
- Acquire preowned vehicles through auctions tradeins and other sources to maintain a diverse and desirable inventory.
- Work closely with the service department to recondition used vehicles ensuring they are ready for sale.
- Monitor and adjust inventory pricing to remain competitive in the market while meeting profit targets.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote used vehicle inventory across various channels.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure they are informed about the current used car inventory and push aged units.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to align inventory with customer demand.
- Conduct regular appraisals of tradeins and preowned vehicles to ensure accurate and fair pricing.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and dealership standards for used vehicle operations.
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience as a Used Car Manager or Sales Manager at an automotive dealership.
- Experience in automotive management specifically with used car operations.
- Knowledge of vehicle acquisition inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the sales and service departments.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass preemployment testing to include background checks MVR drug test and valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Used Car Manager at an automotive dealership
- Previous Audi experience
Additional Information :
Compensation (Draw / Commission):
- Performancebased earnings range: $15000 $18000 /per month
- Actual earnings depend on performance. Highperforming sales professionals who consistently meet and exceed store and corporate goals often earn well above this range.
