Job Description
AECOMsWater Business Line is seeking a Water and Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water wastewater conveyance treatment plant evaluation design and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a clientfacing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Hartford Connecticut area and New England working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Lead multidiscipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases.
- Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects to approved scope budget and schedule.
- Perform engineering technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards.
- Point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in New England.
- Develop and mentor midlevel and junior staff for career development.
- Support business development activities including technical and cost pricing efforts for proposals.
- Opportunity for participation in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6 years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment pumping and collection systems.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Valid U.S. Drivers License and as a condition of employment must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Capabilities:
- 10 years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.
- Registered Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Previous experience leading scope technical approach and pricing efforts for leading businessdevelopment activities.
- Previous water and/or wastewater treatment pumping stations collection systems and client relations experience.
- Previous experience leading client and public presentations
- Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team.
- Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects.
Additional Information :
- This position requires travel within CT and nearby states.
- Relocation is available for this position.
