Job Description
Carlow Universitys Department of Undergraduate Nursing invites applications for the position of Director of the RNBSN Program. This is a fulltime academic leadership position with faculty rank based on education and experience. The RNBSN Program is delivered fully online and the successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in online education and experience in academic leadership.
Reporting to the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Department the Director provides academic and administrative leadership to ensure the quality and growth of the RNBSN program. This includes curriculum oversight faculty development student support program assessment and alignment with CCNE accreditation and regulatory requirements. The Director is expected to teach in the program support student success and uphold the mission and values of Carlow University.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide academic and operational leadership for the RNBSN program
Oversee curriculum development course scheduling and instructional delivery in a fully online format
Recruit mentor and evaluate parttime faculty teaching in the program
Ensure the program meets accreditation regulatory and university standards
Advise and support students to promote academic success and progression
Lead program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with admissions and marketing to support student recruitment and enrollment
Participate in department school and university service
Teach courses within the RNBSN curriculum as assigned
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (PhD DNP EdD or equivalent) required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
Demonstrated experience teaching in an online environment is required
Previous academic leadership experience preferred
Record of excellence in teaching and student engagement
Eligible for RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Recent experience in nursing practice ensuring alignment with evolving standards of patient care and professional nursing competencies
Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills
