THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is seeking a detailoriented and reliable Auditor 1 to join our team in the Bureau of Records and Identification. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Auditor 1 you will apply accounting and auditing principals in conducting the management of firearms dealer accounts and monitor their compliance with federal and state laws and regulations through onsite audits. Your duties will include providing guidance to accounting staff reviewing reconciled accounts and assisting with staff training. You can expect to identify and report procedural issues and prepare status and statistical reports. In this position you will conduct internal and external audits of firearms dealers analyze their records to determine compliance and recommend corrective actions when discrepancies are found. Additionally you will work with law enforcement and other agencies to complete audits and provide assistance when needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50836.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting;or
- One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
