Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this fulltime contractual position is to oversee the SAMSHA PPWPLT program. This position will work in the Office of GenderSpecific Services and will oversee a targeted pilot intervention to support pregnant and parenting women in recovery from substance and/or opioid use disorders and successfully transition to community life. This position will develop and oversee services for pregnant and parenting women that are enrolled in the program. This position will also oversee the inputting of GPRA data and work with an evaluation team to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

This position will be responsible for fiscal and administrative management oversight of the implementation of the grant and ongoing activities of the project which include ensuring the completion of all grant deliverables monitoring and reporting on jurisdictional adherence to required performance measures and responding to complaints or concerns related to the program. This position will also be responsible for analyzing program data and working collaboratively with the jurisdictional implementation team and other state and local stakeholders to effectively utilize project resources to develop and maintain an integrated service delivery system that provides effective behavioral health public health sustained recovery and safety for service recipients families and communities.

This position will also be responsible for understanding all functions of the GenderSpecific Services Office. The position will be cross trained to be able to complete various tasks that are required within the office. This position will also be responsible for attending meetings understanding and helping with other initiatives that are an integral part of the activities that take place within the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in nursing social work psychology education counseling or a related field.

Experience:Six years professional experience in health services three years must have been in Addiction professional work related to treatment and services to persons with alcohol or other substance addiction and two years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Masters degree or a Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience.

may substitute the possession of a Bachelorsdegree from an accredited college or university in anotherfield plus an additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health related field of work on a yearforyear basis for the required experience and education.

SELECTION PROCESS

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits.

You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage accidental death and dismemberment insurance and life insurance but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.

Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
