Description

Join Learning Grove a leading nonprofit early childhood education provider serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for over 40 years as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. In our beautifully designed highquality classrooms you will be a catalyst for young learners developmentfrom ages 6 weeks to 6 yearsby planning and implementing engaging researchbased lesson plans. Using the Constructivist Theory and embracing childled play and socialemotional learning you will help cocreate a safe stimulating environment that partners with parents to shape a childs future. Job Requirements

  • Education & Certification:
    • Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is required; an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
    • Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with daily implementation supported by the Director/Assistant Director.

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Prior experience working with young children demonstrating effective classroom management through positive redirection problem solving setting appropriate limits and active listening.
    • Ability to develop and deliver a quality curriculum that promotes intellectual socialemotional physical and language development.
    • Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with families colleagues and community stakeholders.
    • A commitment to equity diversity and inclusivity with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program details.

  • Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to sit stand walk bend and lift objects of up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Instruction:
    • Plan implement and evaluate a highquality curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of children fostering their intellectual socialemotional physical and language development.
    • Use assessment data to adapt learning plans that advance each childs progress.

  • Classroom Management:
    • Create and maintain a clean safe and stimulating classroom environment that reflects our high standards and homelike quality.
    • Effectively manage daily schedules transition times and classroom activities by employing strategies based on Constructivist Theory and positive redirection.

  • Family & Community Engagement:
    • Establish and nurture trusting relationships with families keeping them informed and involved in their childs educational journey.
    • Collaborate with lead teachers and center directors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

  • Professional Collaboration:
    • Participate in ongoing coaching training and professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practices and classroom management.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
