Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Clinical Assistant for fulltime Days at the Nashville Healthcare Center
The Primary MA will provide assistance to medical professionals with patient management basic diagnostic tests and recordkeeping. CMAs are responsible for obtaining patient information and providing guidance on clinic procedures.
As a Primary MA you will:
- Create a positive experience by welcoming assisting and educating clinic patients
- Escorts patient to exam room and documents vitals chief complaint medication and allergies in patient chart.
- Evaluates patients status and make appropriate recommendations to the physician; documents in patients chart
- Preparing and maintaining patient files by obtaining personal and health information
- Routinely maintains a safe and clean patient care work area to promote patient and visitor satisfaction.
- Setting up and stocking examination and procedure rooms
- Schedules all appointments procedures and tests that DO NOT require a referral or authorization number
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification or Practical/Registered Nurse License in the state of Tennessee
- BLS Required at the time of hire
