Retirement:
As a contract teacher this position will automatically be enrolled in the Teacher Retirement Fund (TRF) through the state of Indiana which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). In addition this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan a 403(b) Match Program and a taxfree postretirement medical expense account (VEBA).

| POSITION OVERVIEW To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to instruct students and facilitate their learning in accordance with corporation policies and state guidelines. English Composition is designed to develop students abilities to craft organize and express ideas clearly and effectively in their own writing. This course incorporates critical reading critical thinking and the writing process as well as research and the ethical use of sources in writing for the academic community. Extended essays including a researched argument are required. To teach this course requires a Masters in English or a Masters in another discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English or courses related to the writing process. English 9A English 9H an integrated English course based on the Indiana Academic Standards for English/Language Arts in Grades 910. Communications: COMM 101 Fundamentals of Public Speaking. Introduces fundamental concepts and skills for effective public speaking including audience analysis outlining research delivery critical listening and evaluation presentational aids and use of appropriate technology.
