Job Description
Responsibilities
We are looking for a MidLevel System Administrator to manage and maintain operating system workstations and servers ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. This role involves system installation configuration monitoring troubleshooting and security management contributing to the stability and efficiency of business processing requirements.
Install configure and maintain operating systems for workstations and servers including web servers.
Perform software installations upgrades and updates in accordance with IT policies and procedures.
Schedule and execute system upgrades while maintaining compliance with security and operational guidelines.
Monitor system performance identify potential bottlenecks and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency.
Ensure workstation/server data integrity through the implementation of secure software and hardware solutions.
Manage data/media recoverability ensuring a robust backup schedule and database archive operations.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to guide system administration tasks.
Conduct routine hardware and software audits to verify compliance with company policies and system standards.
Maintain a comprehensive configuration database/library documenting all supporting operating system hardware and software details.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating systems management system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with data backup solutions security protocols and compliance auditing.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail ensuring system efficiency and security.
Experience in system administration server management and IT infrastructure support.
- A current/active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph.
- 2 years with BS/BA 0 years with MS/MA 6 years no degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloudbased infrastructures.
- Handson experience with network protocols database management and automation scripting.
