This position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Store Operations with daily management and strategic execution of retail store functions. The position will include developing and maintaining store process documents and reporting with store and corporate partners. Strong analytics written and verbal communication project and time management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization are necessary. Responsibilities include a wide variety of tasks and require the Analyst to multitask and be flexible with changing business and team priorities.
Job Functions
- Create and manage reporting and communications of Operations reporting including merchandise movement (Transfers RTVs Damages/MOS etc.)Belk Outlet Omni AP/ Inventory RFID Cash Office and Sales Performance reporting.
- Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities and report to management on key findings and assessments.
- Assist in managing all aspects of monthly midyear and yearend inventory.
- Create maintain and organize store processes documentation (SOP Operations Guides store checklists and more).
- Support the delivery of operations communication to the store teams by using the Task Manager system and other communication tools.
- Support finance team with Store Cash Office process and reporting needs.
- Own store operations equipment procurement including but not limited to merchandise processing equipment capital requests etc. and manage the process through delivery and invoice payment is completed.
- Assist with management of budget to actual spending of Store Operations Capital Expense.
- Manage team email inbox with expectation of responding within 24 business hours with a solution or facilitating to correct person.
- Assist in project management and execution of merchandising projects with store impact. brand edits and other merchandising projects.
- Support store signage system needs.
- Ensure all expenses are accrued per Belk policy.
- Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Be an effective bridge from stores and corporate providing feedback to all levels of the organization.
- Provide a high level of service to store and corporate business partners via phone email Teams calls and other presentations.

Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience.
- 23 years of applicable experience.
- Specific work or project experience: Retail store management experience or related customer service experience. Experience querying a database and aggregation into a summarized format.
- Industry experience: Retail Operations Customer Service.
- Experience presenting process information and business results to a wide audience including corporate and store business partners and leadership.
- Microsoft Office and Excel experience.
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
Proficient in Excel and Access; able to type 60 words a minute; understanding of retail store operations
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong writing grammar punctuation proofreading and editing skills with previous experience developing written materials in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of retail store operations.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and PC skills with particular attention to Microsoft Excel and other department specific applications.

- Ability to operate standard phone computer calculator and other business machines.
- Ability to sit walk or stand for brief to extended periods of time walk stores to observe/complete select processes and tasks.
- Ability to perform some lifting (2550 lbs.)
