Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Grand Island NY. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects within our organization. In this role you will lead engineering projects that are vital to the manufacturing of cell culture media. Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and prioritize multiple projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to project timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Collaborator Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external collaborators to define project requirements and objectives ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resource Management: Allocate and lead resources effectively including staff contractors and materials to ensure project success.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
- Alignment: Ensure all projects align with relevant regulations health and safety standards and Site policies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management highlighting key achievements risks and issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve project delivery processes and outcomes.
- Capital Planning: Aid in developing and sustaining a multiyear capital plan for building systems encompassing cost estimates project dependencies and priority assessments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management Construction Management Engineering or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable.
Experience
- Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93800.00$140675.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
