The Opportunity
Join the Adobe Firefly team as a new Senior Engineering Manager and seize the extraordinary opportunity to embrace the world of generative AI.
Lead and empower a team of accomplished engineers who are dedicated to delivering aweinspiring experiences. Together you will implement tools to transform even the wildest dreams into stunning images in a matter of seconds.
Your main role as a technology leader will involve integrating generative AI features from our product and applied research teams at Adobe.
The team will rely on your expertise to craft an expressive framework that enables rapid innovation keeping pace with the ongoing generative AI revolution. By establishing this framework you will empower your team to push the boundaries of what is possible fueling their creativity and ingenuity.
What youll Do
- Manage a team of engineers from start to finish in developing the Firefly web application including research design security assessment implementation and feature delivery.
- You will work closely with product management and clients to define and refine the product roadmap user experience priorities and schedule.
- Take ownership of the development life cycle closely supervising progress identifying risks and opportunities and ensuring access to senior leadership when needed. Navigating challenges and providing clear insight into the products status will be essential to its success.
- Play a pivotal role in attracting hiring onboarding and retaining exceptional engineers through mentorship and grow them professionally and personally.
- You will rely on a combination of data and your instincts to make informed decisions and drive the teams progress quickly. Your ability to balance speed and quality will be instrumental in achieving our goals.

What you need to succeed
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of shown experience in software engineering is required. This experience should demonstrate a deep understanding of software development principles practices and methodologies.
- Have proven ability leading software engineering teams including successfully leading and guiding teams to deliver highquality software solutions.
- Strong technical background and analytical abilities. Experience in developing commercially successful singlepage web applications using modern frameworks such as React Lit GraphQL and modern JavaScript languages like TypeScript is crucial.
- Excellent technical skills in evaluating systems architecture particularly using extensive knowledge of fullstack technologies.
- Drive consensus on requirements ensure timely decisionmaking provide guidance prioritize tasks and optimize scope and time.
- Passion for collaborating with design teams from concept to production is important. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineers and designers.
- It is important to have a track record of optimally developing leading coaching and mentoring software engineers. The key is to create an environment that promotes positivity and growth while supporting professional development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $154700 $320000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on jobrelated knowledge skillsand experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission) and shortterm incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Nonsales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and shortterm incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition certain roles may be eligible for longterm incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
