Job Description
Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Scrum Master I to join dynamic software development team on the Navy Personnel and Pay (NP2) contract. The ideal candidate will communicate with team members coach members during stand up be the liaison for the team and stakeholders check Navy email daily intracommunication and intercommunication and be able to identify minimize and communicate risks with the ability to formulate a solution by soliciting feedback from other team members if necessary. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Agile project management and gain handson experience in a supportive and fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities

- Lead 1 Software Development Team (based on number of team members or backlog size).
Works with the Scrum Master III and/or Agile Delivery Project Manager in identifying and resolving crossfunctional and external issues impacting the team.
Plan schedule and conduct Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups Sprint Planning Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) for a development team
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Agile development artifacts (e.g. Product Backlog Sprint Backlog Burndown Charts).
Forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration based on evidence and reliable source.
Support the development team in maintaining a high level of collaboration and communication.
Help the team to remove impediments and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth project progress.
Foster a positive team environment and encourage continuous improvement practices.
Track and report on key metrics and progress ensuring transparency and accountability.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the team understands the product vision and requirements.

Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
- A proactive and problemsolving mindset.
- Works collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the role.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree with 12years of experience working the federal government DoD and /or private sector preferred. PeopleSoft Workday or other ERP experience a plus.
- Certified Scrum Master certification ; Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other relevant certifications a plus.
- Jira and Confluence experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication leadership and problemsolving skills
Clearance: A background investigation at the T3 level is as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Work Location: Work location will be in Arlington Virginia 2 days onsite with a hybrid option.
Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands wrists and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
