The Site Security Controller is a key role for Northrop Grumman and is responsible for the management and maintenance of NGUKL information and physical security policies processes procedures and activity that relate to certification for our HM Government sponsored facilities. You will be a true Business enabler willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our staff capabilities facilities and clients are safe secure and have the ability to operate. Security is at the heart of all that we do and the Site Security Controller will be crucial to enabling our future growth in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead security representative for the facility advising and supporting staff across a range of business units on all security related matters with wider responsibility for several regional satellite offices
- Lead with all communication with regards to information and physical security policies on site fostering a collaborative relationship across functional business units
- Maintain the company security instructions continually looking for improvement & efficiencies
- Management of facility on call rotas ensuring availability of workspaces and out of hours response is maintained
- Liaise with the vetting manager to maintain a register of clearances with access to the facility
- Support the xUK and EMEA security function as and when necessary
- Own the full range of Risk Management and Accreditation Document sets for the facility
- Monitor adherence to company Security Operating Procedures and processes as well as taking ownership for communicating change and policy breaches to appropriate governance bodies
- Ensure the ongoing effectiveness of Security Controls leading the development of the controls in line with business activity on site
- Lead on all security focused customer and client interactions in a security context representing Northrop Grumman interests throughout
- Lead on security support to facilities operations ensuring security considerations are considered at all points to ensure continued availability of the facility and maintenance of critical accreditation certification
- Occasional overnight domestic travel will be required in order to support regional satellite offices

We are looking for:
- Experience of information and/or physical security control in a Defence or Government capacity including familiarity with the full range of associated guidance and policy documentation
- Evidenced experience of developing information physical and personnel security policy and standards
- Experience of acting as a senior facility security representative and comfortable with holding significant levels of devolved responsibilities
- A demonstrated track record of success in leading change in a security context as well as a collaborative and strategic mindset
