Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated optometrist looking to make a difference in the lives of their patients This practice is thrilled to announce an opening for a parttime optometrist to join their enthusiastic team in Opelika! Here patient care is prioritized and a supportive environment is fostered for the staff.
About the Position:
They are seeking a caring hardworking associate who is eager to grow with the practice. While they are currently looking for someone to work 23 days a week they are open to considering a fulltime arrangement based on the candidates experience and willingness to take on more hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
This practice believes in rewarding their team for hard work. The pay structure begins at $500 per day with an additional 20% bonus on any earnings over that amount from exams and optical purchases within two weeks of the visit.
Our Practice:
The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant team that values both patients and staff. The practice currently sees between 2034 patients each day aiming to maintain a friendly and efficient environment. Their scheduling typically includes four exams and one or two followup appointments per hour.
The support staff comprises two technicians a receptionist a contact lens specialist an optician and a backoffice manager who is ready to assist with insurance and optical needs. The optometrist will have access to topnotch equipment including Optos Slit Lamps Autorefactors and Digital Phoropters all to help provide exceptional care.
Working Hours:
The practice operates Monday to Thursday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM with room for expanded hours if needed. They hope to find someone available on Wednesday mornings Thursdays and Fridays but value flexibility and are happy to discuss arrangements that work best for the candidate.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
