You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Kodiak Trial Court of the Alaska Court System (ACS) is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 2 (salary range 12). The selected applicant will serve as an incourt for judicial officers conducting hearings in the Kodiak Court as well as Grand Jury incourt.

Regular Duties
This position will prepare paperwork to be used in court by judge/magistrate i.e. log notes exhibit lists witness lists bailiff oath form and any other forms required by the nature of the hearing to be held ensure judge/magistrate has all files and necessary documents in files for daily calendar as needed. You will set up courtroom(s) with necessary forms and supplies to be used for hearings verify all rule books statutes and administrative codebooks are in order distribute necessary calendars test recorder and microphones and set up video player as needed.
During court proceedings call the court to order; monitor recordings arrange for translation if needed log pertinent information keep judge/magistrate informed of any delays or problems in a proceeding mark exhibits file stamped documents received in court complete necessary paperwork during trials/hearings; and be on call during deliberations for any playback requests or jury questions.
After court proceedings distribute copies of paperwork filed or completed in court as requested; give files back to proper clerk; follow through with files by doing judgments calendaring orders necessary computer entries and preparing other required orders.
Occasional Duties
Maintain exhibits in secured exhibit storage and track when they may be released to the proper parties compile supply/form requests place orders verify orders that have been filled and returned and put supplies/forms away upon receipt. You will process tape/CD and transcript requests and assist in answering phones and helping customers at front counter.

The Work Environment
The Kodiak Courthouse is located on Mission Road. The staff includes two Court Case Managers 1 and two Court Case Managers 2 under the supervision of the Clerk of Court. In your role you will become a part of the Kodiak Trial Court helping to fulfill the mission of the Alaska Court System.
The Work Hours
Fulltime court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a onehour lunch break.

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer.
OR
Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a twoyear paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.
OR
A bachelors degree from an accredited college.

WORK HISTORY

EDUCATION

SELECTION PROCEDURE
