Job Description

Life Cycle Management (LCM) Process Engineer (Career or Experienced)

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Career or ExperienceLevel Life Cycle Management (LCM) Process Engineers to become part of the C17 Sustainment Program in Warner Robins GA.

The selected candidate will support a multidisciplined team in the sustainment of the C17 programwide Engineering Data Repository System (EDARS) which includes standardized and optimized processes.

In this customerfacing position efforts include collaboration with a broadbased and globally located C17 engineering team and C17 USAF/FMS customers to support various engineering and program investigations; as well as the support of the C17 Delegation of Engineering Authority (DEA) program. Development and sustainment efforts will include integration of programwide processes policies systems tools performance metrics and deliverables.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Warner Robins GA location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the EDARS team in the development and implementation of the EDARS tools to support aircraft and equipment issue Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis and preventive actions.

  • Supports C17 Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) personnel Cognizant engineers DEA engineers and the DEA Program Chief Engineer in developing consolidating analyzing and successfully submitting multiple Contract Data Requirement List (CDRLs) to the USAF customer.

  • Supports the annual DEA Program Assessment.

  • Frequently interacts with C17 USAF and FMS SPO Engineering personnel.

  • Collaborates with systems engineering other engineering groups and Process Based Management (PBM) personnel in order to ensure programlevel visibility formal documentation maintenance and timeliness of cycle time and qualitybased performance metrics.

  • Develops and drives RCCA efforts to mitigate recurrent engineering dispositions and reduce customer burden via Organizational Intermediate and Depot maintenance concepts Technical Orders (TOs) Work Instruction Records (WIRs) engineering drawings and design improvements.

  • Maintains strong technical network and collaboration with the C17 System Engineering & Sustainment Engineering teams.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work.

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis trending and reporting.

  • 3 years of experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHAs) FMEAs Airplane Level Threats (Particular Risk Analyses) Fault Trees and/or System Safety Assessments (SSAs).

  • 1 years of experience in Engineering process development and process integration.

  • Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations to define and drive common

objectives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 9 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics or physics or equivalent work experience.

  • Programlevel Life Cycle Management and/or Systems Engineering Plan and process development experience.

  • 2 years of experience with C17 Program and Engineering experience.

  • 2 years of experience working within or accessing nonconformance data systems such as VECTOR GOLDesp and/or AutoTAR.

  • Familiar with USAF processes regulations and protocols.

Typical Education & Experience:

Career (Level 3):

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Expert (Level 4):

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
