About the role:

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis forecasting and reporting to support the universitys financial planning and decisionmaking processes. The Senior Finance Analyst will play a key role in managing financial performance developing financial models and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

As a Senior Finance Analyst you will:

  • Conduct indepth financial analysis to evaluate the universitys financial performance including revenue expenditures and investment activities. Identify trends variances and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the development and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Provide insights and recommendations to support budgetary decisions and longterm financial planning.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports including variance analysis financial statements and performance metrics. Ensure reports are accurate timely and align with institutional goals.
  • Collect validate and analyse financial data from various sources to support strategic decisionmaking. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario analysis strategic planning and financial projections. Use models to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

To be successful youll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in accounting and finance; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in financial modelling forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
