Position Overview
As an Epic Beaker Application Analyst you will work on software design and configuration as well as upgrades and improvement for lab operations. As the primary support contact for application endusers the Application Analyst will work to identify issues that arise in the application area as well as issues that impact other application teams and collaborate to resolve them. The Application Analyst will guide workflow design building and testing the system and analyzing other technical issues associated with the lab operation and business software.
We are seeking an analyst to support a combination of screening and precision oncology products.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
Identify and implement requested changes to the system.
Guide workflow design building and testing the system and analyzing other technical issues.
Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and the software vendors implementation staff.
Maintain regular communication with the vendor including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Work with vendor representatives your organizations business community and end users to ensure the system meets the organizations business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline.
Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organizations workflows.
Participate in training and working with end users.
Troubleshoot problems and questions.
Provide enduser support for issues entered in to issue tracking systems.
Review the status of projects and issues with project leadership.
Hold regularly scheduled communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables shared issues enduser concerns and upcoming milestones.
Support and comply with the companys Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Ability to work normal work within business hours as well as on call with potential for nights and weekends.
Able to work within a cross functional team.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they done in a timely accurate and efficient manner.
Ability and willingness to recognize assignments or tasks that need to be completed to seek out additional assignments or tasks and to help others.
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
The ability to persevere in difficult situations overcome obstacles and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures.
Ability and willingness to learn new software application.
Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to operate telephone system and computer keyboard and printer.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.
Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
2 years Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following areas: patient identification workflows in the healthcare setting revenue cycle CRM & MyChart Patient Registration or lab order entry.
Possession of or ability to obtain relevant Epic software application(s) certification within 6 months of hire.
Demonstrated flexibility with respect to changing enduser business needs.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience configuring EHR system(s) or lab management/ordering workflows.
Salary Range:
$67000.00 $109000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US WI Madison on a fulltime basis. In addition this position is bonus eligible and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
